A controlled programme from material system to evidence

CleverSkin® is a medical-device product under development. It is not yet available for sale or clinical use in the UK, EU or United States. Performance, indications and regulatory status remain subject to verification, validation and applicable regulatory clearance.

The CleverSkin concept uses two components contained within a purpose-designed pouch. When activated, the components mix and form the wound-contact material.The final device configuration, instructions, performance specifications, shelf life and permitted uses remain under development and verification.

The CleverSkin development platform

CleverSkin Technologies is applying a staged programme so that future statements about safety, performance and use are supported by evidence for the same product configuration.Development stages1. Define - intended purpose, users, use environment, product configuration and regulatory strategy.2. Assess - legacy evidence applicability, risks, standards and evidence gaps.3. Verify - materials, process, package, safety, bench performance and usability under controlled protocols.4. Evaluate - clinical evidence and, where needed, clinical investigation for the intended purpose.5. Submit and maintain -conformity/registration activities, production controls and post-market evidence.Current statusThe product remains under development. CleverSkin Technologies is not making public claims of clinical benefit, suitability for particular wound types, infection prevention, superiority, wear time or cost savings at this stage.

The Faculty of Health and Labor of the University of Trnava plans to launch a telemedicine simulation center soon. The simulator will teach students how to take care of them, and their teachers will continue to supervise, advise and accompany them.
