CleverSkin is developing a two-component polyurethane wound-covering platform formed at the point of use. Our first configuration, CleverSkin24, is deliberately narrow: first aid first, with broader pathways only after the evidence justifies them.
THE DEVELOPMENT LOGIC
Start with a controlled problem. Prove it. Then expand.
A medical-device company can create unnecessary risk by trying to claim the whole future on day one. We are taking the opposite approach. CleverSkin24 is being developed around a defined first-aid boundary, while the wider platform remains a separate evidence-led programme.
Point-of-use formation
The two components are activated and mixed in the pack, then dispensed to form the covering at the point of use. No powered applicator is part of the current concept.
A narrow first product
The current development target is temporary first-aid use for eligible minor superficial cuts, abrasions and minor lacerations, with cumulative wound contact up to 24 hours.
Evidence before expansion
Historical predecessor evidence is useful scientific context, but it is not treated as automatic proof for the current product. Current-product chemistry, biological safety, performance, packaging and usability must close their own gates.

The user sequence is intentionally simple. The regulatory and engineering work behind it is not. We are controlling the product configuration, component identity, reaction and cure, packaging, representative manufacture and the evidence needed for a lawful market route.

CleverSkin24 is under development. It is not currently offered for sale or clinical use in the UK, EU or United States. Any future indications, performance statements and market availability remain subject to verification, validation and the applicable regulatory route.

First aid is the door. It is not the destination.
The same point-of-use formation principle may support future professional and advanced applications. We do not treat those possibilities as current claims. Each future indication will need its own intended purpose, risk analysis, evidence and regulatory route.
