THE PLATFORM

A wound covering formed where it is needed.

Most conventional dressings are manufactured into fixed dimensions before the injury exists. CleverSkin explores a different product architecture: a two-component polyurethane system that forms the covering at the point of use.

The platform question is larger than one product.

The technical opportunity is not simply to replace one dressing with another. It is to understand where point-of-use formation can remove unnecessary dependence on pre-cut geometry, additional fixation or multiple stock-keeping formats without creating new safety, usability or regulatory problems.

Product architecture

Two components, in-package activation and mixing, controlled dispensing and formation of the final covering at the point of use.

Manufacturing architecture

A route designed around controlled component manufacture, fill and pack controls, representative lots, host-manufacturer qualification and later automation only when justified.

Evidence architecture

Material identity, chemistry, biological evaluation, reaction and cure, functional performance, package integrity, shelf life and human factors are treated as linked evidence gates.

EXPANSION

Broader use must be earned, not advertised in advance.

Professional wound care, longer wear and more complex indications may be future development pathways. They are not presented here as current indications. Any expansion will require a separately controlled intended purpose, risk assessment, evidence package and regulatory determination.
